Keep you updated on all events.....
If you like concrete, then LA is the place for you. Got in at 7:00am and spent most of the time talking to cab drivers. Went out too Santa Monica and watch the US vs POMs match. Good atmosphere and friendly people except for the POMs. Food is cheap as same B's.

Day Three: Travel LA to Philly
Good lesson learnt here. After spending 2 hours on the tarmac of LAX and then 5 hours intransit. All remember to take you wallet with you. Lucky the next flight didn't board and some good work by a real helpful US Airline staffer. Caught up with Brian and Nick. Off to The Plough and then Cuba Libre to discuss meeting points.

Day Four: It all begins
The conference started off with an address from Jim Mooney from Oracle. He gave us an insight to whats happen in the future. Pretty clued up guy and knows his stuff pretty well.
Next was a talk from Rajasekhar Chennapragada on customization, which highlighted a couple of areas for us.
At 11:00am Susan Beaver gave a presentation on EDI and they have exactly the same issues as us.
A couple of points from her session:
Time Compliance is 40 minutes for T&T with the carrier.
6 status measured against the carriers, 2 of which related to appointments.looked good, rest are ARR/DEP
Get your disaster plan working
Fuel surcharges are different for each day.
Time zone fix is on the way in 6.1?

Day five: It justs keeps on getting bigger.
Big news with a potential solution in v6.1 for sub-contractors not linked to a carriers TMS. This means DIFOT will increase dramatically and some events will not be required. This is great news and will take a whole heap of pressure the people working on DIFOT.. A couple of ticks in the boxes required first by some managers, but no real capital outlay.
End user experience forum was pretty hot to say the least.
Discussed maps and transit times and we'll have people looking at that for us.
A new diagnostic tool that will drill down and convert issues into a much simpler language for us.
Meet Joesph from EII as well as Bas from Toll IT
Some really good info gathered from presentations from Sears and Levi Strauss.
Some really good shortcuts as well discovered
